Your Love Life Secrets Are

Looking back on your life, you will only have one true love.

You've been deeply wounded in the past, and you're still recovering from that hurt.

You expect a lot from your lover - you want the full package. You tend to be very picky.

In fights, you speak your mind and don't hold back. You know you're right, and you can get quite angry about it.

You have a hard time ending relationships, even if the other person says it's over.

So freakin true.

Current Music: They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul
It's been a busy couple of days. On Wednesday, I watched Sideways with Suz.

Thursday I had a lunch with the boss and the other boss and my dad and a salesman. After work, I went to Leen's party. It was pretty fun despite being the only boy there for an hour and being the only college kid there for most of the time. We tossed around discs and talked outside for a while. Then we watched the Donny Osmond version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The movie looks a lot older than 1999. I got a few things out of it, Joeseph seems gay and I think the people that made it were really high. I also played Euchre with Chelsea and other people.

Today was my last day of work. We went to Quiznos. Then I went to the Frisbee party after work. It was really fun though I am out of shape/practice. I only went down once :( (My favorite Frisbee games are the ones where I have a ton of bruises afterward). After Frisbee most people went to Bonzo's but I went home because I felt kind of weird being the only college kid left and because I have to wake up early tomorrow. I just feel so weird that most of the people I hang out with around here are two to four years younger than I. I really don't have many friends my own age around here (or in general). I always felt really out of place in high school. Hopefully I'll write a follow up on this later. I also got an e-mail about senior project of which I am scared to death. Its just one of the many things I am scared of next year (recruitment and graduating are the others).

Saturday I'm going to to my favorite country (Canada) to see the blue man group among other things.

Current Mood: accomplished
Current Music: Yes Dear - Orion (acoustic)
Friday I managed to get out of work early. I headed to the mall and bought a crap load of stuff. I bought Rushmore and Sideways at borders. Rushmore was far too expensive but I had a 25% off coupon making it semi-reasonable. I was originally came just to buy sideways but is was on sale and therefore ineligible for my coupon. Then, I wandered over to Circuit City and got the unrated version of Van Wilder, A replacement for my second PS2 memory card (I gave up on finding it), and 50 CD-Rs.

After that I went to Center Park to see if people were playing Frisbee. It turned out that people were there but they weren't playing Frisbee. Apparently It was the birthday party for some girl i didn't know. On Dom's suggestion, I stuck around. Who doesn't love to crash a good party?

In the evening I went down to the Verizon store and got a camera phone to replace my aging phone with a busted front display. I'll either post about that here or on the non-emo blog,

I went to another FHS 2003 grad party over the weekend saw many of the same faces last time (though they are all awesome). I got invited to another party while I was there. It was like GMail. At first only a few selected people got invites but by the end everyone had one. I also got a little creeped out, there are some people in this town who know me that I don't know and I find it odd when they try to carry on conversations with me but I just think "Who is this person?"

Current Mood: satisfied
Current Music: Third Eye Blind - Deep Inside of You
Over the weekend I went to not one but two parties, Tryn's annual pool party and Bryan's graduation party. At both I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in quite a while. There were more people my age (20) at Tryn's; Bryan had more younger people (18), though many of the same people were at both. I enjoyed getting to catch up with people who I haven't seen in quite a while. I felt a little out of place at both though. I haven't hung out with the high school kids much this summer so I'm out of the loop that way and I was always on the fringe of the college group when we were in high school together and I've only drifted more since.

But now that the parties are over I can go back to not seeing as usual. It feel almost like I'm in a TV show and past characters all came back for a cameo in some big event episode. That said, I should see some of them again at a grad party next weekend and at the end of the year frisbee event. There are some of them who I wish I got a chance to know better but won't.

Current Music: Better Than Ezra - A Lifetime
After work I almost went and finally bought a skateboard, but I didn't. Maybe if I hadn't had the lawnmower in the car. I also missed my chance tonight. I just can't help but wonder If I would get $70-$100 dollars worth of use out of it (that's how much I read I should spend). I won $40 from a scratch off lottery ticket but that's no reason to throw the money away. I was going to go to KRUDCO and get it there. Any thoughts on skateboards?

Other things I need to get before I go back: a fridge (?), a car (?), a printer, one of those metal shelve things that Tom had.

There is also a Better than Ezra concert on the 29th that I probably won't go to.

Current Mood: emo
Current Music: The Pettit Project - Down With That

So this whole being a working man thing kinda blows. I hate being in bed early, and when I get home the nights either evaporate or pass so slowly. Tonight is one of the latter. After coding all day, I'm too unmotivated to come home and work on any of free software projects or play video games most days. Despite that I usually just dick around on the Internet and for a good chunk of the evening. I watch TV the rest of the time. I probably should just go to the FPL and get a book. I think my ideal evening would be just going to java's or spot with some friends and just shoot the shit for a while. I love that expression. If your into that thing shoot me an IM or something. Friday may suck less because I will get out of work early. Maybe there will be frisbee or something to entertain me.

In the sucking at life category I let my Pepsi iTunes songs expire while hoping for my favorite indie bands to show up. I won't be able to "bring it" due to working for the man. I totally day dreamed at the one thing that pertained to me at the weekly staff meeting. And much much more!

PS If your curious it should be fairly easy to find my far less emo case blog.

Mar. 14th, 2005 @ 01:19 am [data embargo] Here I Come or How I Spent My Spring Break
Current Mood: relaxed
Current Music: Ozma - Domino Effect
Spring Break was a bit disappointing. I spent a ton of time watching Batman and Superman Animated Series and saw none of the Fairport people. I meant to do some homework and write a patch for galeon but neither of those happened either. I also didn't get to play the video games I wanted to play because my memory card is mysteriously missing. On the plus side I got an internship at [data embargo] working on things related to their [data embargo] DSP. Unfortunately this means I can't stay in Cleveland this summer and instead must summer in that town that bears my name but I got to sign a really cool NDA. Overall, I'm pretty glad to be back in Cleveland even if it means lots more hard coursework.

Update: And of course I can't write an entry without needing to re-edit shortly there after.

Update 2: Also if anyone that scrobbles their audio wants to friend me or anyone is just curious what I listen to check out: My musical profile You all should join; Audioscrobbler rules.

I'm back in Fairport. I rode in with Devo, one of my bros. I sort of wasted tonight unwinding, but I was so stressed from last week. I think I'd rather trade in this break for a regular Case weekend. Those are so much fun. Rochacha is kinda boring. Each year there are fewer people to come home to. I feel more and more disconnected. Well, I'll see how this adventure goes.

Current Music: New Radicals - You Get What You Give
It's that time again... midterms. I already had my Stat 332 midterm. I wouldn't say it was horrible but it could have gone much better. Alas, I'll make it up next half. Tomorrow is the first half of my poli sci midterm (finishes on Thursday) I studied for a while but a lot of it is super redundant from AP Humanities. I also have statics on Friday. In between that whole mess, I have to build an EECS 301 lab and due another 246 PS and two statics hws. Not too bad I guess. I'm just pre-worn out because my previous 246 PS was due on Monday. I love that class despite the massive work load.

Midterm's means something else too... BREAK. I should be rolling into the port with devo round 9ish on Friday and will be there through Tuesday morning.

Friday we had recruitment kickball. This this cool girl showed up who is a friend of K's little brother. was like *smile* '........................................................'--can't speak.

Saturday we had a barbecue then Jim M, an alum, took us out to That Place (the super fancy restaurant on campus). He also gave us money to help with recruitment. After thant was poker night, I finally won (actually came in second when we called it). After that we had a super fun time watching and making fun of Starship Troopers. In the future men and women will shower naked together. I can't wait for the future!

Tonight my big drank 6 burgers worth of greece from the George Forman grill for $10.

In other news for the next few days I will due my best to not be a coward.
